Alex + Todd | Loft Lucia Chicago Wedding

 

Wow… where do I begin with this one!  Meeting these two truly reminds me how much I absolutely love what I do.  We met over donuts (I don’t typically indulge) and I knew right away I was going to have a blast with these two.  Todd is a pastor and knows how to light up a room.  Alex is just plain brilliant and I am so excited to see what these two create with their new life in Santa Barbara.  For now they are enjoying Greece but I wanted to get a few of these out there cause they are just so damn good!  The day started at the historic All Saints Episcopal church and after having not one, but THREE first looks we set off an an epic CTA adventure with the bridal party.  After all the travel fun we landed back at the church in time for guests to arrive and take part in a string ceremony binding the guests to the couple in a truly unique spiritual ceremony.  Before heading to the party Alex, Todd and I stopped off at one of Chicago’s iconic bridges for a few solo portraits and Todd almost did a bouquet toss to a boat of strangers:). They certainly got a kick out of it and so did I!  We got to Loft Lucia to catch the last hour of sun on their perfect rooftop and after a little pizza and samosas the dance floor got started.  Between the bride and her Bhangra dance group and one very special groomsmen dance move they that the place bumping.
