Here we go! Another awesome intimate wedding with an equally awesome couple. Alexis and Kevin embraced quarantine by getting engaged during the shutdown!
While the couple have known each other for years and met through work, the time spent together in recent months really sealed the deal and this couple bravely embraced planning an intimate wedding when so much unknown lay ahead. Thankfully, they were able to create such a truly special and memorable day at The Ivy Room, followed by a spectacular dinner at Tree Studios. It all began at the London House where the bride got ready with her nearest and dearest. We took advantage of the quiet streets downtown and stepped out onto Wacker as the bridges were up and Michigan Avenue was closed. I will tell you one thing, it is a rare and special occasion when we can walk the downtown streets of Chicago on a Saturday alone.
The courtyard at the Ivy Room was the perfect venue for the couple to exchange vows in front of their immediate family. After cocktails, the couple and their guests went upstairs to the private dining area at Tree Studios to indulge in a spectacular coursed dinner. Before wrapping up the day we took some time to hit the streets at dusk to capture the essence of the city. So happy for Lexi and David and look forward to seeing them next week at another wedding!
