Wow, where do I even begin? For starters, when I met Kelsey and Brennan at our outdoor adventure engagement session the world was a whole lot different! Flash forward to current times and well, we are in the midst of a pandemic. In March, it became clear the pandemic was not ending quickly and so all weddings and events had to be postponed. Wanting to still get married, Kelsey and Brennan chose to keep their original wedding date and just shift the vision for the day. This was no easy task as we waited on pins and needles to find out if they could get a marriage license. As courts were closed we really didn’t know what would be possible. While McHenry County was not our original location, Kelsey and Brennan were able to secure a marriage license and even found a venue offering micro wedding services in the midst of the pandemic. The Shores of Turtle Creek was a beautiful background for the couple to exchange vows with their immediate family watching. After they had a first dance we got to spend some time exploring the property and while this wasn’t what any of us had originally imagined it ended up being a perfect day. And just like that, Brennan and Kelsey are now husband and wife! Now we will get to do it all over again in December and have that dance party with everyone soon.
